In the program of cooperation between Vinh University and the Journal of Physics and Youth, a special exchange between Vinh University’s teachers, students and physicists from the Journal was held on February 23, 2011. Many well-known physicists came from the Journal of Physics and Youth (Mr. Pham Gia Thieu – Editor-in-chief, Deputy Secretary of national Association of Physics), from Institute of Physics (Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Lien), from Tre Publisher (Youth Publisher) (Dr. Vu Cong Lap, Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhat). The president of Vinh University appreciated the coming large of scientists, teachers, managers and students to the exchange session.

Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Lieu had previously presented the latest achievements in solid state physics to teachers and students of physics, electronics-communications and civil engineering. At the same time, Dr. Vu Cong Lap had stated the applications of physics in medicine.

Physicists focused on latest achievements and applications of physics. Their presentations and the precision of information motivated participants to study more the potentiality of physics with regard to serve our life. On this occasion, they introduced an interesting bookcase titled “Science and discovery” and the book named “the last lecture”. To promote scientific study, Tre Publisher gave Nguyen Thuc Hao Library two bookcases with an approximative value of ten millions VND. This motivates students to read and learn to do scientific research.

The exchange session was an opportunity for all participants to update knowledge and achievements in physics. The session ended with a high appreciation of organizers, invited scientists and participants and should be organized more frequently in this academic year and beyond.
