A delegation of Vinh University led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi, President, paid a visit to Hunnan Teachers’ Training College from September 3-7, 2009. Many programs of cooperation were discussed and came into execution.

During the discussion, both sides mentioned their potential fields for international cooperation. Authorities of Vinh University and Hunnan University agreed with each other on the importance of academic cooperation in order to strengthen our friendship relation and contribute to the development and quality of education and training of two universities.

Cooperative program in training has yet to be carefully considered by the boards of Vinh University and Hunnan University. Thus, every issue mentioned was put under a high agreement by two presidents.

A memorandum between two universities within important articles was solemnly signed on September 5, 2009. First field of cooperation was defined as 2+2 program (joint degree program of which students study two first years at home university and two final years at host university) for bachelor’s and master’s in Culture and Language (Chinese or Vietnamese), Physical Education, IT and Finance and Banking. Training modality and degree delivery were clearly discussed. Chinese students will get Vinh University’s international diploma and vice versa.

Second field desired by two sides consists in scientific conference co-organization, document and course exchange. Two partners decided to carry out this field of cooperation every year to help each other with training quality improvement and development.

Finally, two universities expressed their wish to set up teaching experience exchange and to update their partner’s progress and achievement during their operation.

The presidents of Vinh and Hunnan Universities described this cooperative program as a very promising and important program for both sides and try to promote rapid development of cooperation with their partner.
