On May 25, 2006, Vinh University and University of Potsdam – Germany signed the academic cooperation agreement. According to this agreement, Vietnamese undergraduate students have chance to study Computer science, Biology, Physics, Biochemistry, Geosciences, and Mathematics upon the modality 3+1, that is the students will study at their home institution (Vinh University) for three years (the first year is of the German language) and an other year at the host institution, enrolled by Vinh University. The curriculum and bachelor’s degree will be granted by the host institution. In the first academic year, Mathematics, Informatics and Physics are concentrated on first, other majors will be extended in the later years. The University of Potsdam also agreed to train Vietnamese graduate students and send its professors, teachers with expertise needed, to run a training course at Vinh University according the requirements by the University of Potsdam.

The agreement detailed articles related to material, financial and personnel conditions to facilitate cooperative program.

The agreement was signed in the witness of representatives of the University of Potsdam and those of Vinh University.

Two universities are starting their own strategy to enroll students and prepare training courses based on this agreement.
