On March 18, 2009, the leader-boards of Vinh University and Rajabhat Sakhon Phanom University met and discussed mutual cooperation program at Vinh University.
Rajabhat Sakhon Phanom University, for long time, has set up the mutual cooperation program in multi-sectors with Vinh University. On the occasion of the visit of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Yuthasak HOMSAEN and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Watana Suwannatrai, the former rector and vice rector, respectively, of Rajabhat Sakhon Phanom University, the boards discussed and agreed to set up a long-term cooperation program in multi-sectors, especially in human resource training.
As a founder of the cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yuthasak HOMSAEN expressed his lofty sentiment to Vinh University and appreciated the mutual activities recently. Before finishing his rector’s term of office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yuthasak HOMSAEN, with the expectation of developing the relationship of two universities, would like to launch a long-term strategy of development and cooperation, concentrating on human resource training for Rajabhat Sakhon Phanom University. On behalf of Vinh University, the rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi, said heartfelt thanks to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yuthasak HOMSAEN and expected to receive supports from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yuthasak HOMSAEN to deeper the traditional cooperation between two universities.
In the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi also introduced to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Watana Suwannatrai, the vice rector of Rajabhat Sakhon Phanom University, about Vinh University, including overview information, current training and international cooperation programs and so on. With cooperating to develop education and training point of view, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi emphasized the close cooperation in training, especially the training of mathematics lecturers for Rajabhat Sakhon Phanom University. With strongpoint of sciences training, Vinh University, withThai universities, will establish the Center of Mathematics Training in Thailand and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi expressed his wish that Rajabhat Sakhon Phanom University will involve future activities of the center.

After a short introduction about Rajabhat Sakhon Phanom University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Watana Suwannatrai expected to maintain a sustainable cooperation to learn the experiences in training and scientific research of Vinh University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Watana Suwannatrai asked Vinh University for supports of human resources training for his province. At the same time, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Watana Suwannatrai would like to invite representatives of Vinh University as well as Mathematics Faculty for the Seminar on Education in Sakhon Phanom on September 3rd 2009.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi was glad to accept the invitation and also invited representatives from Rajabhat Sakhon Phanom University for 50th Anniversary Celebration of Vinh University in coming October.
