History of Vinh University

Founded on July 16, 1959 upon the decree No 375/ND on the establishment of Vinh teachers’ Training College branch by the minister of Education and Training. It was firstly renamed College of Teachers’ Training pursuant to the decision No 637/QD on August 28, 1962 by the minister of Education and Training. It takes the name of Vinh University since April 25, 2001 upon the Decision No 62/2001/QĐ-TTg by the Primer Minister.

Renovation of graduate student administration to improve training quality at Vinh University

In 2011, the student administration was officially assigned to the Office of Student Affairs. With standard procedures, all related tasks have been done since 2011 at Student Affairs Office. The latest applies updated procedures of student administration with competent staff.

20th National Mathematical Olympiad results performed by Vinh University
The 20^th National Mathematical Olympiad in 2012 was held at PhuYenUniversity from April 9-15, 2012. Seventy-seven universities, colleges and institutes took part in this competition with nearly 600 candidates for both algebra and analytics competition.
